:new:1/28/11 - NEW COMMISSION OPTION AVAILABLE- MARKER DRAWINGS:new:

Hello everyone! This journal is for informing you about my commission options and prices, read carefully, and pay close attention to the bottom notes too!
Now, be warned, examples used below can be a little outdated, so it's suggested you look in my gallery to see my present style, and if you like it or not.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sketches
A traditional sketch on paper.

Examples:
[link]

You can also see plenty of sketch examples at my Sketch Blog.

Bust: $1
Waist Up: $3
Full Body: $5
Add another character (for full body): +$5
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Chibis
Whatever you want done in a exaggeratedly small style. It's a good idea to check the examples below, since I commonly have trouble explaining this.
For the CG, you have a choice of cell-shading or soft shading (see CG for examples)

Examples:

(outdated example: ) [link]

Sketch: $3
CG: $5
Add a background (complex): +$1
Add another character (for CG): +$5
Add another character (for sketch): +$3
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
:new:Marker Art Cards
Marker drawings done with Prismacolors and Faber&Castell pens. Due to finances, I don't own any Bristol paper, and they are commonly done on index cards. Quality is still very good!

Examples:
[link]
(The bottom right example was a little photoshopped. I couldn't leave it alone.)

Base price: $5
Additional characters: $5 each
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CG (digital coloring)
These are the more complex drawings. They're drawn on paper, scanned in, then both lined/colored on Photoshop. Take a run through my gallery and you'll see mainly CG works xD
There are three options: you may choose between cell-shading, soft-shading or just plain flat colors.

This shows the difference between coloring styles (cell/soft/flat)-> [link]

Examples:

Bust: $5
Waist Up: $10
Full Body: $15
Add a simple background (i.e plain colors/design/textures): +$1 :new: Now comes as a standard with each commission!
Add a complex background (not available for busts): +$5
Add another character: +$5
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Slots
5 slots means that I will only be taking 5 commissions simultaneously.

1. ~Lollipopdunce - 1 full CG
2. *Downunder104 - 4 full CGs + mini comic
3. !RoxasWannabe - 1 full sketch
4. Empty
5. Empty
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Completed Commissions
These can be found in my gallery, normally titled COMM: xxxxx. However, some commissions that I have done are not posted, either as requested by the commissioner or my sheer laziness. Most of the time, the former.
:new: New Commissions folder created for easy viewing!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Steps In case you are confused...
:bulletblue:If you're planning on commissioning me, send a note with exactly what you want (i.e. the order, character you wish to be drawn, any specific action/background, any preferences you may have), and provide references.

:bulletblue:Once you commission me, I'll get started on the work.

:bulletblue:By the time I'm done, I will send a watermarked preview image as proof that it is complete. At the same time I'll let you know the exact amount of payment (including the PayPal fee) and my PayPal address.

:bulletblue:Once we get through the payment, I will post it on here (8

However, if you don't want it posted on dA, it's fine! Give me your email so I can send it to you; it's kind of my instinct to instantly post what I finish xD;;

Want a higher resolution of your commission? Send me a note and I'll email it to you! Just make sure to give me your email address if you choose to get the higher res version or I won't be able to xD;

:bulletred:New to sending money through PayPal? ~etuix has made an amazing and easy to follow tutorial on how to send money through PayPal: Over here!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just a couple quick notes:
:bulletblue: all prices are in USD
:bulletblue: payment is to be done via Paypal
:bulletblue: I will not draw hentai, yaoi, or yuri
:bulletblue: nor animals, sorry. Pokemon/Digimon are totally okay though! In fact, I'd love to do them! 8D
:bulletblue: I hold the right to refuse a commission (though I really don't want to use that power for the most part)
:bulletblue: If you request no background at all, it will automatically be either white or transparent (transparent being the green of the deviation page).
:bulletblue: I've said this already, but please provide references for what you want me to draw! You'll make my life much easier that way!

What's my goal?
In my opinion, a goal is vital to any effort. My goal for my commissions is to meet your request to the best of my ability as an artist. I can only hope that you will be satisfied with my services with my whole heart.

Now that I've been accepted into the art college of my choice, the estimated tuition/other fees is a fierce kick in the gut. Not only that, I don't have a meal plan. Please help me save up money to continue my dreams and feed myself!

If you have any questions, be sure to drop me a note! Feel free to give me feedback in the comments below too! I'd much appreciate it..

  • Reading: An origami tutorial -failing-
  • Playing: Majora's Mask

Hey, I'd like to order a few more kobolds for promo items :)

Same size (or bigger if you'd like), same style and same color scheme as last time.

One I would like is a picture of the Kobold sleeping, using the baby (who is also sleeping) as a pillow.

Another idea was to have all 4 kobold’s (orange, blue, green, yellow) running after the one in front holding the baby over his head trying to keep ahead of the group.

I’d like a chibi version of my little kobold spawn on his hind legs, holding a baby by his cloth wrap possibly slung over his shoulder or against his side and looking toward the screen giving a piece sign with 2 of his three fingers kind of like the old Mario posters.

As for rights, I'd like to be able to stick him in on a mini pin (1") (if I like how it comes out) as promo for our upcoming Xbox Live indie release (in case we get to go to a convention this year). How much do you think you would charge for a piece with printing rights?

We are not looking for exclusivity. You can do whatever you want with it, sell it, put in portfolio, etc, I'd just like the right to use the little guy to promote my game if I like how he comes out. The sprite it's based on is here:

and here he is with a baby, but in the wrong pose

Here he is holding this root baby

The game’s title screen:

The Kobold can be drawn cuter and less devious than in these pictures. He’s kind of like Alien Hominoid with the ability to make his mouth / head huge.

If the price is the same I'd like to take advantage of the "$10 purchase you make, you get a free, fancy, colored chibi" and actually order 3 images of my little Kobold. They could be in a variety of positions. Like one could be sleeping using the baby as a pillow, and one could be holding the baby up to towards the screen, like he's presenting it to you :P Or you could just make something else up for the 3rd one... Not really picky as long as it looks like a Kobold and is cute :D

April! i have a few questions on how the payment works for your commissions, because i wish to start my commissions soon. It would be awesome if you could help me clear some things up. :D
1)it seems like you don't have a verified paypal account yet, so do you use something else to get the payments? i just got my credit card set up recently, would that work?
2)do you usually mail your original sketches/prints of CGs to your clients or just post/email scanned images? 'cause i would really like the latter...
and do you accept GIF commissions of icons? i don't see it listed in your journal but i would like to commission you for a renewed version of my froggy :)

can you do digital pop art of famous icons? a bit mainstream, but i need the likes of scarface, oasis, monroe, ali for a canvas art gallery im doing, they need to look a lot like original photo, but changed to get round copyright issues...
